SLR-95's only have a single top receiver tang. Attaching a standard single-tang milled receiver buttstock to an SLR-95 will likely break the tang off when stress is put onto the stock. Specialized stocks are available from Ironwood that have special inserts which help secure & support the buttstock onto the milled receiver.

| Registered User | Hello to all of you gentlemen out there, I have been a big fan of the AR-15 / m16 for the last two decades and still as of today, But Five years ago I got my first AK-47 which was a polytech and it was a nice shooter but had an occasional hick-up when it came to magazines... My second AK-47 was a custom built Bulgarian SLR-100h milled receiver, This gun is one of the sweetest shooting guns that I have ever had, And will be with me untill the day that I die... The third AK-47 is one that I custom built by hand myself, It is an AK-47 underfolder built with an unissued milspec crome lined Bulgarian underfoling kit with the old style slanted gas block, All parts match numbers except gas tube and receiver cover and trigger assembly, I put a new style Arsenal synthetic lower usa made forearm. A usa made G27 finger grove pistol grip, A Tapco usa made trigger assembly, And a Mak90 ventilated gas tube with a solid synthetic upper handguard that I later drilled ventilation holes in for a meaner looking piece... This is another piece that I may never part with also, As it has never had one single malfunction since the first day that I took it to the range, And that was about 2,000 rounds ago, And the accuracy with it is just as good as my custom built milled one... Now onto the Romanian one, This is the last one that I bought for now, It was a WASR-10 with the synthetic sidefolder, It shoot reliablly but does need soom tweeking to make it nice, Like some better looking furniture, A trigger polishing job, And a feed ramp polishing job so that it will function with pretty much any type of magazine, If you would like to see some of them just shoot me an email... Sincerely: AR-15Coltman |
