those are both quality ,inexpensive firearms.
all told
$600 saiga
$1100 savage
those prices are for all the extras stocks, scopes and all for each weapon.

i wouldnt think twice about buying another of either weapon.

The Saiga rifles are a very cost effective alternative for an AK. I personally own a Saiga 20 (20 gauge shotgun) and it's awesome. The only problem I have with it is it won't cycle tall neck cheapo shells. I run Fiocchi brand shells through it and it cycles flawlessly. I have heard nothing but good about their rifles though.

Plus, if I'm not mistaken, I think you can use standard AK mags in them as well? I'm not sure about that though, so it'd be something to look into.

Here's mine in 7.62x39. I love this gun. It funtions flawlessly, and the build quality is better than any other stamped AK-47. It also cost 249.00 bran new.

Much better than my romy using irons. The romanian dosen't have a scope rail, so i can say how they compare with a scope.

Using Silver bear I can shoot 2" groups pretty easily. I'm sure some good ammo could do alittle better. I imaine 1 moa to 11/2 would be the most that would be obtainable with any ak based rifle.

Billy, everyone's smart in their own way.

You have the benefit of being smart, and a good shot. Haha. Too bad I can't spell benefit without the help of my spell check!
