New AK-47 Stuff

It's been about a year since I built my AK-47, and I am thinking about building one as a birthday gift for a friend. Is there any new furniture, etc out there that is comparable to Ultimak in quality? Are there any better buttstocks than the T6 collapsible? Let me know what you've put on yours recently !! Thanks !!

Swede, I'm not a big fan of the tapco stuff. To me all the ultimak and accessories take away from what makes an AK great. Now for suggestions. Try Matt at Ironwood Designs. He makes great wood furniture. Maybe try building a folder with a stock similar to this: K-VAR Corporation :: Stock Sets :: AK-007BFS
Out of stock and can be found cheaper. The Kvar poly sets are very nice as well. I like comm-bloc optics as well. PK-A Military Fast Acquisition Red Dot Rifle Scope, SKS/SVD Version - Kalinka Optics WarehouseŽ I have one of those as well as a cobra and love them both. Good luck and let us know what you decide to do.

Yep RK, mine is set up almost identical as yours, except mine has a forearm pistol grip as well!! And a different sight. It's been a while since I built one, so I was wondering if there was something newer than Ultimak out there ?

I don't think anyone has improved on the Ultimak yet. Tech Sight is working on a better rear sight for the AK-47 though. Don't know when they'll ready for sale yet though.
