Lightbulb Romanian Dragunov ...

... if you had the opportunity, would you buy one? IF so, how much would you spend? This comes relatively unfired with the LPS 4x6 TIP2 optic.

... opinions, anyone?

No more than $700 if it has to be shipped and go through a dealer. If it's a face to face buy, I'd go up to $750 at the most.

I would want to visually inspect it first and if everything looked straight I'd buy it for the above mentioned price. Of course I'm a little biased about the subject.

Technically there is no such thing as a Romanian dragunov, it's a PSL or FPK, commonly known as a Romak 3. I have one, it's great...accurate and very reliable. I say get one, but like others say, don't pay over $720....here's mine, I swapped out the stock for a Mak 90 thumbhole...way more comfortable.

I'll admit it, I'm kinda retarded here. How do I installing the LPS 4x6° TIP2 scope scope on the rifle? It would seem that the nut at the bottom of the "throw" won't budge. What am I doing wrong?

... I'm putting this together and sighting it for a friend ... and I might buy it, we'll see.

Sounds like the tensioned spring is over tightened. With the scope off the rifle, turn it over and look at the back side. There is a small coil spring at the bottom, compress the spring with your fingers and use a flat screwdriver to turn the screw that runs through the spring. You may have to do some trial and error until you get it adjusted properly.

PSLMAN ... thanks for the advice. After fumbling with it for a few minutes, I walked away from it only to come back a few minutes later with a fresh perspective. I did figure it out ... that the 'nut' had to be separated from the 'block' above it to be able to move it freely. (the block and nut together acted like a locking washer)

... I did get it attached, so next is the range to get it dialed in. IF it is a good shooter, I will probably offer to buy it from my co-worker.

... I'll see what I can do with it (probably next week) and post a pic of the target if I can.
