You REALLY better buy that Saiga NOW

Due to a business decision on EAA's part, we will no longer carry parts and accessories for Izhmash "Saiga".

WTF this was taken from EAA's website. For some reason they are no longer importing Saigas.

Relax EAA is not going to be a reason behind us not having any more saiga rifles....

Isn't there another distributor as well?

And I bet it'd be pretty easy to get ATI to import them as well.

That would be a reason to not buy a SAIGA, at least in my book. If the firearm becomes more trouble than planned to support, then buy something else with parts availability.

Its an AK variant. What could go wrong?

The guns themselves, the only other carrier is RAA. I wonder why EAA isn't carrying them, it seems they have been profitable.

Just hope this isn't going to be something that RAA follows suit on. They said it was due to a business decision on their end. What was that, to not make money? Makes you wonder.

I have the Saiga in 7.62x51, so the parts are not exactly the same. I would not invest any more money in this if the parts might likely dry up.

EAA quit handling the Saiga quite a while ago. RAA took over. Rumor has it that the Russians dropped EAA.

What part of that .308 saiga are you refering to? everything else besides the barrel can be adopted to be used on your rifle.
Saiga is nothing more then another one of those ak-74 or ak-47 variants. Think of Mak 90 or Madii, think of any other sporter configured rifles from different countries. You can make pretty much any ak part to work on them..
Stop worrying about EAA they have not imported any saigas in a while now. They were the original Importer (I believe) but RAA took over and there is no way for EAA to compete with them. They focus on handguns and a few select zastava rifles.

He didn't specify which .308 he had... there's a Saiga 100 in x51 that's different than the regular Saiga line. Just going on what I've heard.

Looks quite a bit different.

I thought CIA (Century International Arms) imported Saigas or is it just the Wasr10s and Wasr10/63s?

Century doesnt import Saiga. It used to be EAA and RAA. Now its just RAA. Century DOES make my GP1975 though. It is a fine piece of steel indeed.
