| Why you should not buy the Saiga 5.45
So I can have more ammo to myself thats why! Here is my new rifle, Plain and simple. I am missing the flash hider, which is going to be TABUK style. I will put pics of finished rifle once its done. BTW its all 922 compliant. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I love original handguard, I don't know why anyone would replace it for the original.... BY the way if anyone got any laying around I will buy them off you just PM me. |

Looking good, hopefully I will get mine back from the smith this week so I can finish putting it back together. I just don't like those original handguards, the feel or look. To each his own though What did you do to remove the stock front sight block? Just drill out the indents?

I cut it off with a cutting wheel. 1 line on each side right though the knobs and a good whack with a hammer opened it right up and let it fall off.

I just cut the end off and have been trying to figure out a way at getting better at taking that material off without going into the barrel. What's your secret?

Krebs .591 version. as far as cutting with a wheel the key is taking your time, and I do not go all the way though because I want to leave a little on, which will just stress fracture once you hit it with a hammer. |
