^That would be illegal in our swamps. Sucks. I'd LOVE to have one of those! One of these years when I'm filthy rich I'm gonna legally buy some short barrelled, full auto, suppressed rifles...

| That is not the logic at all... What is the logic is that in order to be effective a bullet has to reach certain ballistics. Those ballistics are not present with too short of a barrel. There are pistol calibers that are effective because the bullet weight is more suited to slower muzzle velocities. If you want an ak, then get one, if you want a pistol then get one also, but an ak is not a pistol and the 7.62x39 is not a pistol caliber.

| LOL you kno half of the power is blown out of the barrel in a fire ball right? The fire ball is powder thats still burning more or less. Pistol calibers are made differently. Look at the .45 ACP its barely super sonic some times but its a heavy round. One way of putting it is a 100gr round going 2000 fps can inflict the same dmg as a 200gr round going 1000 fps.(not 100% true but it gets the idea along.) But to get a 7.62x39 to speed it needs to be a good round you need barrel length. After the bullet leaves the muzzle any energy left from the explosion caused by the powder is wasted it moves out in all directions. Now if you where to load up a very very heavy round into a 7.62x39 case and work the powder to make use of a short barrel it might be useful but your just shining sh*t in the end.

The one thing I failed to mention, the powder burn rate of a rifle round versus pistol round.

| What is your problem? But if you can't tell the difference between the two I will break it down for you. Kirnk explained, Krinkov: gets around bullet stability by changing the twist rate; the addition of the flash hider is a booster which allows for more powder burn. Also is chambered in 5.45x39.5mm... W/e I am done discussing this, as this is going south quick.

I think is has a lot to do with the Draco and Krink's barrel being shorter. There's a lot less flex when it's fired and thus a lot better barrel harmonics. The standard AK-47 clone has a very thin barrel for the size bullet traveling down it. It also has several things attached to it(gas system, handguard, front sight) that disrupt barrel harmonics. With the shorter barrel, you have less enertia from the front sight assembly being moved so much in firing and thus less movement. Less movement, more consistant fire. More consistant, but less powerful from the short barrel and the resulting less powder burnt before bullet exiting barrel.

Here is a good review; on it the guy reviewing calls them "fairly accurate" so deduce what you will from that. Recoil is fairly mild with a muzzle brake on.

Well , To dispel some of the Arguement , here are My Hungarian Gals. The Pistol is a Hungarian AMD-65 I built with the Original Short Barrel , the Full sized one is A Hungarian AMD-63 I built . ![]() ![]() The Pistol is A rifle that was Made that Cannot accept either a Stock or a Forward grip for legal Reasons , and Not Classed as An SBR... It develops the same MV as it would being a Rifle... Rich
