| Wolf 7.62x39
Has anyone else had trouble finding bulk wolf ammo in 7.62x39? All of our local dealers are out and the one who still has some wants $105.00 for 500 rds. I have been looking on the web for the last couple of weeks and all of the sites that I have checked are out or want too much for the ammo. I used to buy it at my local range for 49.99 for a flat of 500. The guy at the range told me that all of the ammo is going to Iraq, and that they have been out for a couple of months. He also said that he had been told to expect a shipment by the first of December and that now has been pushed back to the end of Jan. |

Who exactly would be getting the 7.62x39 in Iraq?

We've already addressed this in another thread, and at least two of us have e-mailed WOLF about this. It should be in the store any day now, according to WOLF. January seems a bit later than most dealers are anticipating. Here's the e-mail I received back from WOLF: Dear Craig, No this shouldn't happen repeatedly. We currently have more 7.62x39 on its way. Right now it is in transit and should arrive in the beginning of December. Thank you for your inquiry and interest in WOLF Performance Ammunition. Sincerely, WOLF Ammo My e-mail to them: I have noticed I’m unable to find bulk WOLF ammo in most online stores and retailers. What is the reason for this shortage? I understand most stores are supposed to be receiving some around the middle of December, but will this kind of thing be happening repeatedly? |

And as far as the January date I am just repeating what he told me yesterday. | |

I called every wholeseller I know last week and couldn't find a thing. Only thing I could find was some way overpriced stuff at a retail website and a guy on Gunbroker that was kinda pricey as well. I look forward to Wolf's new shipment getting in country. Thanks for the update!

On another note, Dunham's has the WOLF 7.62x39 in the 20 round boxes for $3.99 each. Not ridiculously high. They had it at both Dunham's stores I visited.

I hope it's Iraqi Guard and not the Russian manufacturer of Wolf ammo sending it to nefarious buyers.

What you're saying is I should order several thousand rounds before they raise the prices, NRAJOE?

If you preorder, I don't think they'll change the prices. I've already got some preordered, just thinking I should get more.

i'm thinking a thousand rounds would last me a few months, though... i don't go shooting very often.

We might have last time if we had gotten them at bulk pricing... instead we paid $9 a box for 20 rounds at Walmart. That would have been more than $200 for 500 rounds.

trust me, i've driven around to all the gun shops and stores that sell ammo that i could think of, from local hardware stores to Gander Mountain, and the best deal I could find was at a Dunham's selling WOLF for $3.99... i've got some preordered from sportsmansguide.com, but it still isn't in even though wolf says it'll be in "in the beginning of December". I think the beginning's long gone... |

Where do you get yours for $2.50, anyway? It might actually be cheaper for me to just drive down to Ohio and buy it wherever you do, but I assumed you bought it at Cabela's in Dundee (I'm southwest of Jackson)
