12 gauge 00 buckshot

10 Rds. 12-Ga. 2 3/4 00 Buckshot Shells, Shotgun Ammunition, Nobel Sport at Sportsman's Guide

I picked up 500 rnds ($170.00) of above for SHTF and in close hunting. I have no idea if it is any good but in dealing with this company when they have these deals if you don't buy today it is frequently gone tomorrow

Most buckshot ammo is buffered, this is not. Might open your pattern up a bit. If it fires and functions in your gun then it should be fine for home defense.

I just went back and read the ad from SG. It states that this stuff is loaded with 12 OO pellets, sounds good. Most US 2 3/4" OO buckshot is loaded with 8 or 9 pellets.

my 3.5's have 18. I always get best results with full choke.

Buckshot is about the best stopper on a perp, in a close quarters defensive situation, and it doesn't penetrate through every house on the block

I`ve sent many many rounds of 2 3/4 00 buck out after pigs. 9 pellet is great, 12 gives you a bit more flexiblity. Either one will get a wild pigs attention, have no doubt.
