Russian manufacturers like brown bear and wolf are cheap right now it seems. I just bought .308 for .31c a round. Thats decent to me for what ammo costs now. I dont know how long it has been this price because I have been reloading .308 for a while now.

That's probably a decent going price. I'll have to pick some up now that I'm into gas operated 308 semi-autos. The steel cased ammo wouldn't be too good for my G3.

I run the Wolf steel cased .308 in my CETME without any issues other than the feeding at the end of the magazine, which I think is due to weak mag-springs. There's no marks whatsoever on the ejection port, but the steel cases still get a nice dent in them. The worst part is how dirty they are. Five shots and you can sit there for 15 seconds watching the white smoke billow out of the barrel and receiver. It makes for a more involved clean-up, but CETME/G3's are already inherently dirty from the roller-delayed blow-back action.
