| .50 cal Powerbelt target pic....
I bought a T/C Omega muzzleloader and took it straight to the 100 yd range. I shot this 10 round group with open sights directly "out of box" with 100g triple 7 pellets beneath 270 grain powerbelt platinum bullets. I tried the sabbots that came with the gun after this...and could'nt hit the target. This is slightly over a 4" group, with the exception of the one off to the right, which was the first shot. Was nervous on that one, having never fired a muzzle loader. Bring on the Deer ! lol... ( or bear/moose/whatever |

I dunno if I'm going to scope it...I've always liked open sights. I need to adjust a hair up and a hair left though. For some reason I distrust scopes...I should probably get over it and buy a good one I can trust. Any suggestions ?

If you can shoot that good the only advantage I can think of with a scope would be lighted crosshares which I put on my son-in-laws muzzleloader and he loves it.He got a buck last year when it was way too dark for any other kind of sight. His is 1.5+4.5 with 4.5" eye relief.Dont put high power scopes on hunting guns. That was great shooting,I am proud of your effort. Those groups just keep getting better. sam.
