| Has anyone tried AMMO DIRECT.com ??
I like the prices. And as long as you buy more than 1 box, S&H is not much at all. I wondered if anyone here has used it and have an opinion. |

I have a problem with this ... who is doing the reloading and what assurances do we have that they are done correctly? I understand that this site is kinda new, but more information is needed before I put ammo in my expensive guns that I know nothing about. If my gun blows up due to their reloaded ammo, what recourse do I have? I'd love to support the "little guy" ... so provide more info to give me that "warm fuzzy" before I buy reloads from ammo direct. Quote:
SCGirl, try cheaperthandirt.com or sportsmansguide.com too ... they are pretty competitive with each other so check one against the other. I am certain others have their ammunition sources so keep asking. Bookmark these sites because you'll never remember them all. BTW, what do you shoot? Haven't ordered yet from these guys, but their prices also look pretty good, and they have a wide variety of calibers and ammo types: Outdoor Marksman Warehouse Selection |

Larry, I shoot a Beretta .32 Tomcat, and a Taurus PT111 9mm. I am purchasing a Taurus 1911 today, and hope to put some rounds through that one too! Quote:

Yeah... wanting to get myself the big cases of Winchester .45 auto rounds from them when I can slow down on buying guns a bit... lol. I hear that Winchester tends to have kind of hard primers, but I'm pretty sure they'll be fine.

The remington actually shot pretty dirty. I was getting a lot of fire out of my shots (i shoot a taurus PT111) and I never saw that before. Plus the pistol was a bit more dirtier than when i buy the reloads at the range | |

Well, mostly what I get for practice for my Taurus 1911 is Blazer Brass. Costs about $12 at Walmart, and works for my purposes. I don't really have enough gun experience to say whether it fires more or less dirty than any other ammo, but I'm in the habit of cleaning it after every outing anyway, and haven't had any problems with it. I'm not going to touch the Blazer aluminum-cased rounds, though.

I've used ammo direct and their ammo is fine and good customer service. I wouldn't call their ammo hot loads exactly but as compared to other less expensive ammo theirs burns cleaner than anything else I've tried and where are you going to find .454 for less than $.75 a shot?

I have been using .38 special cowboy loads for the pistol and lever rifle for Cowboy Action Shooting and have had no problems so far... I am using the 105gr .38 for my Colt Single Actions and have just started using the 125gr .38 Rifle loads. At less than $12. per 50 rd box, the value is hard to beat unless you "roll your own". Even the 105grs chamber well in my '92 Winchester. Their delivery is fast and shipping is reasonable. |

| Natchez is the cheapest I have found online, they have been sold out on most ammo lately but keep checking back every once in a while to find great prices.
