60 grain 22 lr ammo - Page 2

My Daughter goes camping (If a $40,000.00 Air stream is camping!) and stops in some remote kind of places, after some shoot and when you can do so, lessons, I think my donated 10/22 will make me feel better, and she is not a panicky kind of Lady.

Seems like this is good ammo for bad people at 10 yds? especially 3 or 4 rounds, will shoot it a bunch myself also.

No sir! I haven't shot them before, but I don't care how heavy it is it is still a .22lr! NOT a good ammo for "bad people" no matter how close if you ask me!

Might not kill them but not everyone wants to do that i would imagine any 22 ammo would discourage most bad guys enough that they leave you alone

22 may not be the first choice but if its what you have its sure better than nothing

the 60 grain subsonics cycle fine in my suppressed Rem 597,and shoot well in my TOZ 78-1.I have shot them in a total of 5 rifles without any keyholeing at 25 and 50 yards.They are a good around bullet the deepest penatrating of the 22s. I have taken many racoons,possums and one coyote. I also like to experiment with them, I have a fixture to put them in and file .60 off the nose it seems to make them a little more accurate.

While I would definitely not want to be shot with a .22, it wouldn't be my first choice as a self defense weapon. If it's going to serve more than one purpose, then I guess it's fine.

A gift of a 20ga shotgun would work 100x better in a bad situation.

i think its a good idea just pelt them and also a 22 is alot easier to carry then a shotgun.

How is a .22 rifle easier to carry than a shotgun? I would defiently prefer my 20 guage over my .22 rifle.

Do the 20 gauge...Birdshot...Buckshot...Slugs. Lotta' variation in that. Remington 1100 LT is a good all around gun from wabbits to Bigfoot.
