General 7.62x39 questions

I want to buy some bulk rounds for my russian sks, probably more for storage than anything. I am going to rely on the wisdom of this forums members to guide me in making a wise decision.

So here gos....
Steel case or brass? Whats the difference, besides reloading? is one better than the other?
There are so many different ones, I have seen wolf, brown bear, hungarian, golden tiger. I have read a lot of opinions, and I seem to pick up on the fact that most of it shoots well. Can I assume that much?
I like the sealed tins. has anyone had any bad luck with these?
Do I just buy what is cheapest?
I do not plan to hunt or anything, but any of these should take something down if need be, right?

This is all new to me, so I really appreciate your feedback.
Sean

Of those you have mentioned I have hax experiance with the wolf and the brown bear. Never had a round of wolf or brown bear ammo in 7.62X39 not go bang or fail to feed or function. Go with the cheapest you can get and buy alot of it.. It's just gonna get more expensive.

For the Eastern Bloc rifles that shoot 7.62X39, just get the Wolf. Those eat that stuff up and ask for more.

When dealing with an SKS, I buy what ever I can. My Norinco eats everything. Don't worry about it being corrosive, just give all parts that see gas from the cartridge a good cleaning and you'll be fine.

Golden Tiger,Brown Bear or Silver Bear,Barnaul and Wolf. All are non-corrosive steel cased ammo . I listed them in order of my preference in ammo I don't trust Wolf's quality control enough to use it in my rifles.

I've shot it all, except Barnaul. They all go bang!

I've always used Wolf for my AK and SKS with no problems.
