| .17 hmr cartridge
i have a savage .17hmr and have only shot hornady varmit express's out of it and i would like to try something different. . .i was thinking cci, any thoughts on this?

tippmann, I have shot alot of different 17 though my ruger and tracker revolvers/ rilfes, and they have all shot well. The Vmax bullets seem to group a little better than the hollow points. Didn't seem to matter if it was cci federal or honadays. The only ones I havn't tried are the remingtons. So lately it has been what ever vmax bullets Ican find at the cheapest price that I have been picking up.

I believe that all the 17hrm ammo is loaded by hornady. At least that was the rumor a couple years ago. I like shooting CCI myself, whether its in my 22 or 17. But i have federal, hornady, and cci. Never tried the remington or winchester but they just charge more for nothin.

My savage 17HMR likes the federal 17 grainers.

I don't have a 17 hmr but in my 22 and 22 mag the cci ammo is the best

winchester supreme 17 hmr is the best shooting 17 ammo out there i use it out of my 17 hmr anschutz holds .2 inch groups at 100 yds
