| Senior Member | Ammo availability is what keeps me waiting a while before considering a .357 Sig. I want to make sure that 10 and 20 years from now I will be able to buy ammo. I like 9MM, .45, 357 magnun, .22, and 44 magnum because I know 50 years from now ammo will be available most places. I just bought my first .40 S&W a few months back for just that reason. I don't want to own a gun that sits in a case because ammo is $3.00 or more a round.

| Hi KW GARY M You and I are in the same groove. I want ammo that I truly feel will be around through my expected lifetime. I have, in my lifetime, seen too many "neat" ammo ideas come and go. I have also seen some high quality guns chambered for disappered ammo at zilch prices in pawn shops. |

| .22 wrf I have a Winchester model 90 (1890) that shoots .22 WRF (Winchester Rim Fire). Its between a .22LR and a .22 Magnum. I get CCI brand at Cabelas, and I think they're the only ones making it anymore. Can't run anything else through this gun. Later, B |

| I believe the winchester wssm's are destined to fail. A lot of calibers have fallen from favor, such as the 250-3000 savage, 300 savage, etc. , but are kept alive by reloading. There seems to be many wildcat calibers hitting the market in recent years, I'm intrested to see which will catch on and make it.
