| What is that .458 like compared to the .223? Is it a lot harding hitting round?

| .458 is twice a .223/5.56 NATO round . Probably x 4 stopping and penetration also. Its a shame this round isn't making its mark in Iraq. The .50 Beowulf is being used by British units operating in Southern Iraq. just tyoe .458 into google and read. |
