Hey USMC, how do you like that Millett DMS-1? I've read so many conflicting opinions on that, I don't know what to think anymore, but one more can't hurt. Any peripheral distortion at 1x? 4x? Optical clarity? Are the turrets mushy or crisp? Battery life? And finally, even though I know the eye relief specs, how does the speed at 1x compare to say the Trijicon Reflex I have mounted on mine?

BTW - nice with the LaRue SPR-E. I wish I had the coin to put into my AR like that.

For $200 the Millet is nice but, It does not compare in clarity to a more expensive scope. I didn't really notice any distortion and the turrets on mine are crisp. At 1x it's pretty fast to acquire targets but not as fast as with my Eotechs but with the Eotech you lose the ability to go to 4x. My battery is the original one that came with the scope and I got my Millet right when the Gen II's came out.

I sold my RRA upper and got the stag upper, which I like so much more. I just got a set of Troy handguards and Knights Armament vertical grip. Next, is two Magpul handguard rail panels and an LMT fixed BUIS to replace the GG&G folding BUIS.

The black rifle disease claims yet another victim.

The bottom one was incomplete at the time. I've added a BCM M16 bolt carrier group and charging handle to complete the rifle.

Hey Pred, you like having the finger bump on your MIAD? That was the first thing I took off! Also, did you buy any extra cores?

I know he has one of those on there because it's the full miad kit... Since one of the ears "fell off" during his assembly, he had to get the front strap that has the incorporated trigger guard. Point being, the front strap that has the trigger guard has that rib in it.

I don't know the story on the other one he has, if it's the same or what.

Pred, that one on the left is looking a little naked.... Topless, if you will

Well here is my RRA Elite CAR A4 in it's current configuration.

I have added a MI railed forarm, Danial Defence QD sling swivel, Vickers 2-point sling, SOG VFG, a vicking tactics light mount with a surfire G2 LED.

Yet to be added is a QD rear sling swivel (likely a MI that attaches to the rear sling slot in the stock) and an optic of some sort....I can't decide between a Millet DMS-1, an Aimpoint with Larue mount or an ACOG. All have their goods and bads from price to reliablity. I am leaning pretty hard toward the aimpoint but I don't know yet.

Ear? What ear? I know of no ear .... I like the finger groove on the MIAD grips though, they fit my hand really well. Yeah, now I've got to figure out what I want to build on the other one. I'm actually thinking a little about a chrome lined Commando upper(11.5" barrel with a perm attached 5.5" flash hider) on an A2 upper. Would be simple... then I can get another 2-3 stripped lowers for Christmas and start all over
