Foregrip bipod combo?

Well I am fix'n to buy me a new AR-15 and plan to have a 4 rail free float forearm. I wanted to have a fore grip and a bipod mounted on it but thought that mounting both maybe a little bit too front heavy. The rifle is going to serve an all purpose use for now since it will be my first AR. In the end I plan on having it be a tactical style rifle and then in the future I will build a more target/long range AR. I found this product online and have been planning on adding it to my AR when I get it.

What do you think of it?
Has anyone seen one in person or used one?

Here is a link to one of the places you can buy it on line GRIP POD GPA 01 - BLACK/POLYMER: Mounting Solutions Plus (MSP)

I like those a lot. I've wanted one for awhile, but just can't see dropping $150 for one...

Run away... run away now. First off the grip is way to big. Second you would want the grip much close to the receiver. Third, thats just wrong... I've learned that, something that will save you money, and do two things at once, they never work out.

Well I don't think it will save me any money. In fact I think it would cost a little more for that compared to buying a Foregrip ($50) and Bipod ($80) seprately. I was considering how it would save space on the bottom rail. I am also considering that a sparate foregrip and a bipod may be the way to go. This way if I wanted to take one or the other off, no problem The other thing I didn't think about till now is that I would like to mount a light on one of the side rails and if I wanted to use it for Coyote hunting I would have to remove the light to reamin legal (no artifical light). So I could attach the presure switch to the foregrip and remove it to go hunting yet still have a bipod.

Anyone else have an opinion?

Well, to add to my first post, they're sort of 2 different purposes entirely. I honestly like this to have something to rest the front on when the legs are folded.

I mean, you don't need a vertical grip on a target rifle, and you don't need a bipod on a tactical rifle.

A friend of mine has one on his AR kind of neat. works good from what little i used it but it is a little high for my wallet. with that price you can buy a nice foregrip and bipod seperate. but a guess if you could save the space and wieght it would be worth it. guess it just a matter of taste.

I was just reviewing some old post and a thought came to me, it really isn't a matter of need but rather a matter of want!

You can find the GPS grip on e-bay for way less than $150. Here's a pic of mine mounted to my Krinker plinker. If you want a pic of it on a AR, LMK and I'll post one.

Missied Oppurnity

I was unaware that such a product existed until I saw one at a local gun show this past weekend. While I don't remember the brand name it it appeared of hight quality and was modestly priced at $40, I passed it up and now terribly regret it!!!
