| New AR15 in a week or so. For my combined birthday/Christmas I'm getting a AR 15. I don't know the brand or anything about it yet. I'm certain I will have a few questions about the piece in a couple of weeks and I would appreciate any and all positive comments...negative too. I've read a little about it from this website but I wouldn't know a good "upper" from a bad "lower" I know what a helpful site this is and I hope that continues to be the case when I get my new rifle. Thanks in advance guys and gals. Doc |

| I am guessing he is going to use his Holiday Bonus from work to buy a new rifle. He isn't sure what he is going to buy, so this is just a prequel to his questions that will come once the time comes. CMMG makes good uppers/barrels. Bushmaster, Colt, Armalite make good lowers. CMMG Bushmaster.com Armalite CAA makes good accessories, buttstocks, etc... CAA What is your preference on length, ability? What are you looking to spend? (a.k.a. How big is that bonus check gonna be?) EDIT: Just noticed you are in California...might wanna check your local laws and regulations before hitting the evil "assault" rifle market...

| Senior Member | I just built one, well an upper and lower. If I had it to do again I would look into a Kit. You buy the stripped lower from whoever makes you happy, Stag,RRA,Colt, etc. Then check out. J&T Distributing: Black Rifle Specialists Order Stag Arms Products Online! Del-Ton, Inc. A complete line of AR-15 Rifles, AR 15 Parts and AR15 Accessories. ^I highly recommend customer service is great. I found for the price you cannot beat the kits. If you do it like a kit you can get your standard EBR for about 650.00 before shipping. That is like an A2 with regular hand guards. But I would definitely call delton and see what they can do for you. I am talking them up a lot because I just spent a lot of money with them and I feel like they did me right. |
