| local gun shop a few months ago i purchased a complete lower. this week i finally purchased an upper from bushmaster, well i took it to the range, tried to fired the first 40 rounds sighting in the scope i mounted, the pins that hold the trigger assy worked their way out, the take down pins are not anyway quality. the lower is dpms, i called the dpms shop in st cloud and they said that lower left as a incomplete lower. i am thinking my local gun shop screwed me, or they ordered that from someone who uses inferior parts. any ideas, i have a bushmaster lower also, it is tight, and higher in quality |

| I bought a complete DPMS lower from RGuns Home Page for $205 and it was and still is in great shape. I also bought a Stag complete lower from Rainierarms and the DPMS and stag are exactly alike. They might have had a striped lower and built you one at the gun shop not knowing what they are doing. I would try to get my money back. Good luck. |

| Super Moderator ![]() | I wouldn't say the gun shop screwed you if a gun you put together from different parts doesn't work as well as you expect it. That's the kind of thing you take responsibility for fixing. Pins are cheap, maybe try different manufacturer's pins. There's also something called the accu-wedge that reduces wobble between uppers and lowers. Did the pins come with the upper or lower? Sometimes there's a wee tolerance difference between manufacturers. I'd say get some pins from Bushmaster and DPMS and try both, then try some others if they don't work. My long gone AR-15 had pins that were way too tight. Comes with the territory of home assembled guns. The good news is you own it and can play with it to make it fit more smoothly.
