Got my New 4 rail forearm today!

Well I ordered it on Saturday, It shipped Monday and arrived todate (Tuesday). I tell you what it sure is nice being in the same state as Brownell's. You may have to pay a little tax on your order but you get it the next day (just about) for standard shipping price. This is a Midwest Industries 2 piece handgaurd non-free float. I also ordered the vertical grip for chead and some covers of which I need to cut for the bottom rail. By the way the AR is a RRA Elite CAR A4.

I was thinking pretty hard about getting the free float MI handguard but ended up going with this for easy of install and slightly cheaper price. I hope I don't regret it but if I ever want to change I am sure I will be able to sell this one. I figured I will be doing most of my shooting 100 yards and less and am really trying to outfit the gun as a tactical rifle (light, red dot sight, etc...). I am impressed with this hand guard. I almost got the surefire one but then I had a deputy at work bring in his midlength with surefire rail and noticed that the muzzel end was made for a round "cap" and his and mine has the triangle style. His is mounted tight but something doesn't look right. I could let from the MI pic that it was more disigned for the triangle cap. It fits perfect and looks much better than his does.

That's a tactical carry handle from RRA. It gives you the rear sight while still offering a rail to mount an optic

That is correct. It is acctually suppose to be for use with an aimpoint reddot sight. I have heard that they aren't very good for mounting an aimpoint but I think I am going to give it a try when I get the money set aside for one.

I see you have the MI ff foearm. at4xj, did you mount it yourself? Was it difficult? Cutting the delta ring off worried me so I went for the non ff one.
