To be honest I don't know what is worse. Having a banned rifle that you didn't know was banned and could have fixed, or transferring a banned rifle with no paper work to someone who is from out of state. I don't know what your laws are about transferring a firearm though. My comment is not meant to make you mad either. I realize you just wanted to get it out of your house and your life, and you did, GG. But, just saying....

Sheeeet I know my country (Scotland/Britain) has some crazy gun laws but some of yours beat ours hands down. At least in our country, the same laws apply throughout, no matter which country/region you live in!!!!!!!

The Federal laws are the same for everywhere, but the State laws (sometimes city laws) differ significantly depending upon which state your in - mainly in the liberal Northeast, the West Coast and a little messed up area in the Mid-west centering around Chicago.

Most of the Country is still Free.

What do you mean by free? last time I was over there, very little was free.......it is not free to fish in the sea, rivers or lakes; shoot deer & game on your own land, drive without licence on your person etc etc. Actually I found the states one of the most restricted free countries I'd been in! (not putting it down really, it's still one of the best)

I suddenly have a rush of emotions to speak my mind. However fearing an "extended break", I'll keep them to myself.
