Heres a picture for you guys with a love affair with the M-16. Picture taken in 1968 Quan Loi, S. Viet Nam. Picture with me with 3 days left to go. Right side of picture under PRIDE, comic book page tacked to wall showing kid w/M-16, Caption reads You can tell its swell its made by Mattel. I was small arms repairman.

Great Picture. That 3 days sure is a good feeling. im in Rota, Spain right now at the end of my first deployment. im flying home the 22nd. I was out in town a couple days ago and saw some salty older man in a bar with a US Marine jacket that had patches all over it. I noticed on his US Marine hat that he had the rank of a gunny and being a machine gunner for the United States Marines I had to start conversing with him and found out that he was in the TET offensive and some more commonly known battles. Thanks for your service and the awesome picture of what few have no idea about.

thats just crazy looking at cause we still take a lot of the same pictures....people with 203's, we are still using the m79 grenade launchers over there, pictures with the locals, I'm a big fan of the .50 cal picture(being a machine gunner), enemy grenades. i like the back from the bush one cause i know that feeling. where you are almost completely naked in approximately 3.2 seconds just to get out of the swetty clothes. Thank you sir and once i get back home(in one day, finally) ill start getting my pictures and maybe some videos if i can up so yall can see

I absolutely loved a 50 cal. biggest problem folks didn't know how to set headspace and timing. I've read articles from Iraq, they're still blowing them up, incorrect headspace. Loved small arms repair school, got to work on em all, Bars, Brownings, M-73s, M-85s. Liked Browning so much, got a 1919A6 today, semi.
