| Yes, there is a difference between the gas block rail and the flat top rail. When you order the flip front sight, there are two kinds you can get: Gas block mounted or rail (handguard) mounted. If you're putting it on a gas block rail, and you ordered the gas block height flip front sight, they will line up properly. If you ordered the handguard rail mounted height front sight, it will be too low. |

| Rex, got a link for those pictured? If you could post one it would be much appreciated. Curious to see the price. Preferably the top pictured 2 front sight blocks. Even a brand name would be great...I may get one or the other when I get my AR. Thanks in advance.

| Not a problem. I'll check them out. Thanks for posting the link so quick. lol After looking, I can only say WOW, that top one I was and yes was, interested in is kind of pricey at $173.50. I've seen others a bit cheaper. lol Have to keep shopping around. Thanks again though. No real need for it, just like the idea of a flip down front and rear back ups. Just getting the Stag AR is enough for now I think. Only got about a month or so left to save unless God forbid something goes wrong or some bill I didn't count on or repair comes up. lol Just my luck.

| Thanks alot at4, that helped out. im pretty sure i wont have issues. i recently got a detachable carrying handle and front detachable gas block sight for my ar10. they are both armalite parts. the only thing i was worried about is that the front sight would be off sense i have a dpms ar10. i dont think i have anything to worry about .i reckon they would all have the same specs on a gas block. but heres a link to take a look at what i got. what do yall think. DSG Arms: Armalite Detachable Front Sight Assembly for AR-10's

| They should all have the same specs for the gas block. I'm not as familiar with the ar10 as the ar15, but those should line up without any problems. |

| Wait... I just read all the above but I want to ask this anyways. Im getting a Flat top CAR A4 receiver. If I get one of those low profile gas blocks and an extended length quad rail fore end they arnt the same height? Im planning on getting a Midwest Industries quad rail. Wouldnt that be the same height (their brand is seamless. When its installed you have one continuous piccitinny rail going the entire length from back of receiver to the barrel end of the gun.) Midwest Industries: 10" Carbine Length FF click on installed view. So with this wouldn't my rear BUIS and my front rail mounted BUIS one be the same height? |
