Burnin' ammo

I know some of 'yall are having trouble finding low priced ammo for the 5.56x45 (.223).

I don't know anything about this ammo so, I leave it to you to decide. Seems like a pretty good price:

"Prvi Partizan Ammunition 5.56x45mm (223 Remington) M193 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket Case of 1000 (50 Boxes of 20)"

MidwayUSA - Prvi Partizan Ammunition 5.56x45mm (223 Remington) M193 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket Case of 1000 (50 Boxes of 20)

Same thing, different supplier:

Widener's Reloading and Shooting Supply INC

These look to be corrosive ammo. If you want steel ammo, buy the kind that point out that they are NON-CORROSIVE.

Corrosive ammo is fine, but you need to take extra efforts and be very thorough when you clean.

Here are some other types for similar price:

(SEE PRICE BY CLICKING PULLDOWN & SELECTING QUANTITY)

BRASS, FMJ ($30 more)
Cabela's -- Bulk .223 Remington Ammunition - 55-Grain FMJ

Wolf, Non-Corrosive, $100 cheaper:
Cabela's -- Bulk Wolf .223 Remington Ammunition - 55-Grain FMJ

Those are both non corrosive, and brass cased ammo.

Either looks good. You can find stuff cheaper, but I've heard good stuff about the Prvi Partizan stuff

This is excellent stuff. Good price too.

*edited to add - And if you need mags, this is a really good deal.

MidwayUSA - AR-Stoner Magazine AR-15 223 Remington 30-Round with Magpul Follower Aluminum Matte

As far as the price on the ammo at those links, kind of the going rate for it isn't it? Then add in S&H, well?

I can only hope either of the 2 dudes that called buy my '73 dodge charger (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE lol) or my motorcycle sells (should with the cost of gas and the gas mileage it gets), so I can use some of that cash and buy a decent premium grade reloading starter kit. Reduce the cost of not only .223 but a few other rounds as well.

Yea, that's the way to go. Years ago, I got into the SKS/AK/Mini-30 mode and bought the dies for reloading 7.62x39. Found out it was cheaper just to buy mil surp. Glad to have that on hand now even though I bought up 1,500 rounds of it.

I bought a Savage in .223 and have not gotten the dies for relaoading them for the same reason. Now, with ammo prices on mil surp jumping so much, I might add on the dies, powder, bullets for the .223 just in case.
