| If you don't already have one in 223, then you'll need a lower & an upper assembly, common sense would dictate that you buy a decent lower that you can upgrade later on with a 223 upper. If you already have an AR15 in 223, you can get the likes of a "Ciener kit" which for about $120-200 will alow you to fire .22lr through your 223. Personaly, I think they're a waste of time and unless you've got a slow twist barrel their accuracy isn't really there. Second, and to my mind, the best option is a complete upper half in .22lr (+/-$4-500) fitted to your lower. Best of both worlds. Lots of the AR15 suppliers do them, eg. Model1sales, Sportsmansguide, Midway's etc.etc. Last edited by wunhunglo; 03-30-2008 at 02:59 AM. |
