Vortex StrikeFire coming soon...

I think I'll have to order one of these when they come out. Sounds like, for around $160, you get the red dot, mount, and 2x magnifier.

Mr Pred thank you sir for posting this. I happen to need 2 of those.
One for my son's AR-15 and one for a firearm I have.

The problem most people face is there is no mid range red dot that can hold up. The SPOT red dot is around $160, but it's not the best quality. Oh sure it gets the job done on an AR just to have for the range, but not much else. Aimpoints, EOTechs and ACOG's are out of many peoples price range. Spending more on an optic then you spent on the upper, or some cases, the rifle, doesn't really appeal to most people, including me. Hopefully this works. If it does, they are going to sell the crap out of em.

I think they will too. And the design appeals to me as in the "lines" it has the looks I'm looking for.
It's kinda of pricey for the turkey shotgun I want to put it on, but like I said it has the look. LOL

The company said one of the demo versions was used on a turkey gun. Should hold up to most anything we would want to put it on.

Not a huge fan of red dot sights. I honestly never really warmed up to them. I have one on on my service M4 ... however, I'd replace it in a heartbeat if I could.

This does show some promise I haven't seen in the ones we are issued...

I'd take my ACOG any day... given the choice.

I'm curious about this "Parallax free past 50 yards" deal... Within 50 yards, I guess it's not too much of a problem unless it's a hostage takedown?

As far as I can tell, my Trijicon Reflex is parallax free at 50 feet.

This looks like a fun red dot though. Maybe for my next AR build...

I love my TA31, but I want a good red dot. I was thinking about an Aimpoint, but maybe I will wait and see how this turns out first.

It's neat how it's 1X, but comes with a "doubler" to make it 2X for more precise shooting.

Looks like a decent deal. Let us know how it works when you get one.

I don't know about the doubler allowing precise shooting... it's only 2x and that would make the dot 4moa... (about 4" at 100yds...)
I really like the looks of it, though. SWFA has it on their site for $129... although I don't think they're actually available yet. I'd probably just use it without the doubler, but it comes with everything at this price.

If this thing is half as reliable and well built as an Aimpoint, they will makes millions off of it.
