Hey ACFixer, how do you like that Leupold Prismatic? Is it unlimited eye relief? How is the precision vs. the EOTech and how about speed of target acquisition? I was really looking into one.

If I were on a police/swat/entry team where there was really no chance of having to drag the weapon through mud all day long I would choose the Loopy over the EOtech. By the way, it's VERY sturdy. The only downside - I don't think it has auto shutoff and if you leave it on it kills the battery. And again the reticle is MUCH nicer than the EOtech. If I were crawling through sand and mud, laying in the dirt and fighting in the streets of Fallujah I would choose the EOtech, lower profile and battery life is better. My EOtech (512) has AA batteries that are fast and cheap to change, but I have heard they can last up to 40,000 hours? So in short, civvy/police I choose the Leupold - Military conditions I (think) would choose the EOtech. You can't go wrong with either. | |
