New System Must See!

Benelli Rifles | Benelli MR1 | self defense rifle, best home defense rifle, self defense guns, home defense weapons, home defense rifles

Any videos out on this weapon? I have found none.

My only concern is that the stock is not straight, it slants downward. Will this increase the recoil?

Looks like the list price is about $1295.00. IMHO if they want to cut in on the AR market they should have price it in the $750.00 range.

The stock being offset from the horizontal axis of the weapon will affect recoil slightly, but the 5.56 has very little recoil, so I doubt that will matter. What concerns me is the safety being in the same place as my old red-rider BB gun, I like the ergonomics of the AR selector switch. Also I don't like the bolt catch, it looks like it's just forward of the trigger guard...unless you have to actuate the bolt operating handle out of it's detent manually. I also don't like the $1300 price tag, and my M-forgery works just fine...besides, isn't a shotgun or pistol best for home defense? My AR is for when the zombies (liberals) come.

It has a piston system versus DI, which raises the price. It does use AR-15 magazines, so that's helpful. And .223 barely recoils, so that's a non-issue. I'd have to handle one, but it looks pretty good, and the $1300 list price would be less on the street.

Oh wait, it is!

Benelli is just a subsidiary of Beretta and they are trying to remarket their RX4 Storm carbine which never went anywhere.

Sorry, but that's gotta be one of the ugliest guns I've ever seen.

agreed, ugly as sin, but IMHO form always follows function. If it's a strait shooter and cost about half as much as list, i'd buy one.

Agreed, Sea Chicken. M&P15 is THE best 5.56 deal out there right now. Last month you could've gotten them for $600, and then gotten I forget how many of the latest generation PMAGs. I think it was 4 or 5.

I don't think this firearm could even be considered an AR-15. The only similarity is the magazine. Everything else is almost completely different.

what's so great about the smith&wesson? mine is a hodge-podge of LRB, DPMS and Double-Star and it functions great. My buddy has a rock river and his never misses a beat.

Because the S&W is the popular thing these days. I don't think it's any better than the other mainstream AR-15 makers myself. My uncle has one and I think my Bushmaster and my brother's DPMS are as good.
