DPMS M-4, deal or no deal?

There is a deal that is being passed around our base for a DPMS M-4 with the unit insignia engraved on the side of the mag well. The package is $789 total for the carbine, case, two 30 rd mags, and sling. What are your thoughts on this deal?

I paid around 975.00 which was 20 dollars over cost from a buddys gun shop atleast thats what he told me, for a new Bushmaster M-4 New 3 years ago.
It came with case and 1 magazine.

I'd say since it's a DPMS thats not a bad price at all. Though some here may know if you can build your own for that or less.

Stick around...A.H

I don't think that's a bad deal. Haven't priced a DPMS lately but I bought a Bushmaster M4 in Spring 08 and paid around $1100 for it.

From what I've seen, $1000 is around the lowest. I don't know much about the quality of different makers, all I know is that my issued one is made by FN.

That's a good price considering the insignia. My Bushy XM-15 costed $1200 in June of this year with two cases, 180rds PMC ammo, and 3 mags. One of my brothers has an M4 style AR-15 made with a DPMS lower and it's always been 100%.

That's easy. Tell her you are concerned for her safety, and that you felt she needed to be familiar with what you use at work. The two of you could do some shooting and spend some quality time together. Make it about her and her safety.

That forum is for the make of the gun. They also make the LR-308 its basicly an AR-10. Also i love my DPMS m4. I paid 800 out the door but that was for reg hand guards A2 front site no rear site on the flat top.

Is that a Base Exchange price? The Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) at our local base sells all of their AR type rifles at cost. They claim that their profits are made with extra mags, slings, and attachable components. As for the $789 price on what you described, and with your unit insignia to boot, it sounds like a good deal to me.

No, it was a special deal for military units offered by DPMS. Email me at jeremy.demos@wimadi.ang.af.mil and I will forward you the flyer. It may well be something that your unit could get into.

I wondered that too. Why is Bush master not in there? Stag is. Is it because they make other rifles besides the AR platform? Does Bushmaster make anything but?
