started my first build

i picked up an ati stripped lower a month ago, and today i got time to put a dpms lpk and ati strikeforce stock assembly on it. i was surprised how easy it was. the only problem i had was the magazine catch absolutly refused to go on, so i sanded it down just a touch.
now all i have to do is decide what i want to do for an upper.

Good luck, Have fun!

Assuming you get all the parts together right, its a great experience.

There arent too many other firearms platforms out there that lets one personalize their gun to such the extent as the AR15.

You don't need to limit yourself to one upper. They can be switched out easier than the stock to reconfigure your gun but keep the same trigger feel.

yep. i just dont see the point of having multiple uppers without lowers to go with them. once i decide what i want out of this rifle im probobly gonna build an AR 10 to match the one i already have, and by that time ill probobly start building my 3rd ar15. which reminds me ive gotta keep my eyes peeled for sales on lowers.

Think in terms of T/C Contender and guns of that ilk. Switch barrels and switch calibers at a lower cost than a second or third gun.

Both of my lowers are DPMS factory marked .22 LR. IF some bureaucrat out there in never never land is keeping illegal records of my purchases, they are .22s. Neither rifle is chambered for that round. There should be no such record of course, but if there is it's wrong.
