My second build

So the first time I tried this I bought a complete lower and upper and slapped um together and was done with it. Sold it a couple months later and wanted another. I think its a disease.

Bought a stripper lower, painted the letters, and got a palmetto state lpk and put it together. I think it looks pretty darn good.

Have an a3 upper and rear sight.on the way. Should be here soon.

Thinking about replacing hand guards and pistol grip. Leaning heavily towards the battle axe stock. Or maybe just a cheek pad on this one.

So what do you think?

I like your fire control group markings.

The troy battle axe stock was designed initially to go on their super short SBR.
You can get one if you want but do you plan on SBRing this?

If your just going to put a 16" upper on there you might want to put something more typical on on there to even the balance out a little bit.
Plenty of options out there with a similar cheek weld.

So the rifle has been done for awhile. I got the A3 upper from palmetto state. I put a UTG rear "target" sight on it. Kinda like the sight in a carry handle, but more annoying and super sucky. The rifle grouped well with the cheap ammo I was using. I was thinking about getting a removeable carry handle. On amazon the UTG one has a lot of really good reviews. What is the consensus here about removeable carry handles?

I have a couple of the removable carry handles, and they work ok. That is the nice thing about a flat top; lots of options.

How do you like that UTG handle? I almost picked one up at a gun show to throw on mine but when I saw "made in China" on the side, I put it back.
