| Arctic Cat Decompression release
Hi, I have a 2000 Arctic Cat 500 manual that is very hard to start. I've gone over the electronics extensively. I am begining to suspect that the automatic compression release is not working and making the engine very hard to turn over. Has anyone had this issue? Bill the Dog |

The automatic decompression lever could easily be your problem.... But we mostly just shoot guns here

Try this too : If it's water cooled remove the spark plug and pull the rope and see if water sprays out of the spark plug hole. If it does then you prolly have a blown head gasket and water being in the cylinder makes it hard to pull the starter rope. And of course it might be the compression release. Let us know whats wrong when you figger it out. And check back for some more suspected answears to the cause of the problemo. |
