| 92 I stumbled onto a good looking model 92 in DA/SA. It appears to be in very good shape, with just a little holster wear on it. Is $439 a good ar a bad price for it?

| I don't think it is pre-ban. It looked fairly modern, though I do not know what upgrades Beretta has made to the 92 over the past ten years. Mind ya now, on department letter head, I can get a 92/96 at LEO price from Gt Distributors in Austin. But I don't think it's much cheaper. Seems like Beretta 92's seem to hover around the five hundred $$ range brand new/high cap for us cops.

| What is a pre-ban Beretta pistol??? Even a brand spanking new Beretta will handle the pre-ban hi-cap Beretta magazines which hold and fire the 15 round mags just fine. That isn't a legal problem where I live. I think you're referring to magazines. Correct me if I'm wrong but as a long-time Beretta owner a "pre-ban Beretta pistol" is something I've never heard of it being referred to as. |

| Pre ban Beretta Pistol? What are these words, "Pr - pre ba-ban Beretta Pistol..." I am confused, those words are strange to me. Can they be used in a sentance like that and still make sense??? Actually, the only difference of note is the new guns come with 10 round mags. The Pre Ban 15 round Mags can still be used in the gun. There are some fairly cosmetic changes over he last 10 years though, a polymer guide rod, lanyard loop and such items most notably. Here is a great site, quite a few LEO frequent... http://www.berettaforum.net/cgi-bin/...ultimatebb.cgi I love my Beretta so much, she is sitting here, dutifully, at my side as I type this... I love the gun so much, that if I could sleep with it, I wouldn't need my wife!!!

| Bought mine new 7/99 and have a tad over 7,000 rds thru it without a hiccup. The only uniqueness to mine is that it came brand new with a factory blackened stainless slide, normal 92FS black alloy frame, black rubber grips, and it has a slightly shorter barrel than a stock 92FS, maybe 1/8 to 1/4". I haven't really measured. Just put the barrels side to side. I have heard it referred to informally as a "Cajun" on the Beretta Forum. Recently I did get a new factory stock 92FS barrel and locking block on the Beretta Forum to "save" my unique shorter barrel and locking block. Why? No idea. Also changed to a 92D main spring. It is a little easier on the first double action shot but not significant. Every little bit helps on that shot! I have shot it in both IPSC and IDPA and love it. | Super Moderator ![]() | Guys these are not pre ban or post ban the gun should be considered normal capacity and reduced(Klinton)Capacity. I have a 92 I picked up back in 92 and its a wonderful gun never had problems with it and used to carry it as my backup (side Vest carry under the arm). The 8 15 rounders and the 2 18 have never given me any problems of any sort. I have probably sent a couple thousand rounds down range and never missed the sweet spot once
