| Model 85F I have a Beretta Model 85F in 9mm short (380). I really like this firearm. It really fits my hand well and it seems so natural to point and shoot. This pistol has become second nature to me and that is why I choose it over larger calibers and it sits on my nightstand as my primary home defense weapon. |

| I use the beretta 380 because of my ability with it. The magazine capacity is secondary to me in this case. It would be differant if I was a policeman talking about a duty sidearm. The odds of needing a large capacity magazine at home is about like getting struck by lightning twice the same day. Knowing my ability with this beretta I am confident of my survival chances. We all pick what we are comfortable with. |

| that may be true but those 3 extra rounds take up no more room.. and after all..it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it Nothing wrong with that logic. I just have my preference. |

I have a Beretta 84 and I agree...it's a great pistol for those of us with smaller hands. I usually pack it in my overnight bag when making roadtrips. Otherwise it's my Glock .40 for home defense. | |
