| Beretta .22 short 2 years ago a fox trapper asked to nail a few foxes on our place. His sidearm was a "no longer in production" .22 short Beretta auto. He said it was ideal for being light with light ammo and effective for snakes and legal upland game, rabbits and such. I tried it out and found it more accurate than a 2 inch barrel revolver, which has been sort of the "all American" light arm. The tiny Beretta in fact is accurate enough to nail a rattlers head at close quarters or a forrest grouse head at 30 feet. My efforts to find one have been less than successful until last week. I found a used one at a local gun store. Eager to try it out next summer, on the Idaho open range, while fixing "drift" fence and other range management stuff. |

| I had a .22 short Beretta for a while in the 1980's. Excellent quality and cheap to shoot. It was made at a Beretta plant in Maryland, I believe. A nice little gun. |
