U22 Neos

Well, I was over at a great hunting buddy's house today. He had some things he needed to sell, and showed me and my dad a U22 Neos Pistol that I pretty much fell in love with. I wanted to trade my Hi Point 9mm for it, but he really liked my Mini 14. So, ended up, I traded my Mini 14, which wasn't in real great shape but ok, with 2 30 round magazines, 2 20 rounds magazines, and a factory 5 rounder, for a brand new never-been-shot Neos w/ a 7 1/2 inch barrel, and $100.

1. Was this a good idea?

2. What do you guys think of the Neos?

Probably not a trade I would have made.
All I've heard about the neo indicates that it's just an overpriced buckmark.

But if you like it that's all that matters.

Good trade if it suits you. I have several guns I'd love to trade. They just didn't really turn me on. If you can trade something you don't like for something you do like then go for it. Safe queens are a drag. Get rid of them any way you can. It's difficult for me to trade a gun to someone I don't know so I rarely trade guns but since you knew the person you traded guns with it seems like a good move.

I just bought a Neos TODAY for the wife. She loves it so far. She has handled it but hasn't fired it yet. She picked the deluxe model over the standard model because of the color, the sights, the extras that came with it.

I don't know about how good a deal it was, but if you are happy...

Looks like a nice gun, I have thought about getting one myself. Let us know about the range report.
