Do any of you guys have any input on this gun? Looks really nice but I am not familiar with this model, what info. I have found it seems to be solid, but info. from someone who has one would be nice. Its a toss up between the storm and the cougar by stoger I'm not sure about the spelling it has goten great reviews its suppose to a beretta that gave over to stoeger made out of afganistan.

One of my freinds bought the gun chamberd in 40 cal. I was sckeptical at first but the gun performs very nice. Its easy to breakdown takes about two seconds, and its super accurate right out of the box. We were shooting popcans at fifty yards with out even trying its very very easy to shoot. The only gripe I have with it is the thumb hole stock. If you were in a close quarters fire fight you couldnt hold the gun out sideways to shoot around walls, it has to be shot from your shoulder with you right behind it always. I prefer a pistol grip my self. However I do think Im going to buy it off of my freind he has hit a hard time and he's willing to let it go for 600 instead of 900. I say the gun gets 4 stars out of 5. JMO

check out The Best Nines - Who makes the best 9mm pistol? Mini test handgun review gun dealer auction has a whole list of pistols with feed back on performance of each one. Im curios are you asking about the carbine or pistol? my reply above is about the carbine. Also check out STEYR line of pistols their great and about the same price.

No I was talking about the pistol my bad I didnt specify. The Stoeger Cougar in 9mm or 40 has great write ups also. It is a Beretta that was given to Stoeger for production out of either Turkey or Afghanistan I dont remember which, for a cheaper price 349.00 was the price I found so far but its suppose to be a great shooter. I read in another site about a guy who had bought one and he guess's that during assembally the 2 plastic tabs that hold the recoil spring on the plastic guide rod where broken he called Beretta and they sent him the metal guide rod with recoil spring for free and had it in 3 days fit perfect and has not had anymore problems. Gun is accurate smooth and feels great. Stoeger isnt noted for quality, Beretta transfered tooling and equipment to stoeger for production I'm just wondering if they sent parts as well. I'm pretty much sold on it over the PX4 Storm pistol now I just have to find one but everywhere I go I hear the same thing out of stock because they go as fast as they come in. Thanks for replies if anybody has any info. please give a hollar and let me know I've been researching for awhile now and have made my choices ready to get back into the game.

Didn't expect Ruger or Glock to be that low on the chart but, I guess they are rated by best overall performance, comfort, stuff like that.

well I dont know anything about the pistol but the ruger px4-storm will be in my collection soon. I have to get maried first. If I come home with one more gun before november 11, she'l say no and keep the ring. I could have had 2 barret 50 cal and a ton of ammo for what Im paying on this wedding. Man it's exspensive.

Baret would be a nice gun to add to the collection, wonder what the ammo would cost anyways.

The Stoeger Cougars are made in Turkey.

I recently picked up a new Stoeger Cougar. Only thing different from the old Beretta Cougar is the logo on the grips, the name on the frame, and the price - it's about half of what the Beretta was listed at. Feels good in the hand, shoots well, smooth over all. Great gun. Mine is in 40 SW but also available in 9MM.

researched

stikbutter: Sir; I have researched the mess out of the Cougar 8000. Originally being a missed marketed by Beretta 8000 labeling. All tooling? was shipped to be handled at the Turkey facility for cheaper labor and reintroduced by Stoeger. Now it appears that Stoeger will have a problem marketing it. Stoeger long time 'shotgun'.
Beretta is the warranty and repair center for Cougar 8000 should a need arise.
Ever thing that I've found and read about has me wanting; either Cougar or a G17 will have a new home in the next couple of weeks.

I agree the write ups are awsome on this pistol and the price is great as well. Some guys dont like it because its made in turkey, but money is money. It will be on my hit list soon I have a few long gun requirments to tend to first.
