Cx storm carbine

Any good or bad reports on this weapon?

What is best caliber choice in the carbine?

Is it durable? I want to use it for practice and protection.

Thanks.

Good questions. We had a good thread about the Cx4 a while ago.
http://www.gunandgame.com/forums/pis...0-45-wwyd.html (Beretta Cx4 Storm .40 or .45? WWYD?)

FWIW, I went with a .40.

Yeah, it's durable. Just understand it is a semi-auto carbine not an Uzi. It will stand up to use just fine. It's accurate and lightweight. It's easy to disassemble and clean. The chrome bore makes it a snap. It's blow-back and not locked breach like Beretta 9mm para. so it does get dirty.

I have two, both in .40 S&W. My wife and daughter can both shoot it with ease, and I like the interchangable mags with my Beretta 96. I had one in 9mm, but liked the .40 S&W better. Also, for most of this year finding 9mm has been a problem. Only recently has it come back into the market in any abundance. The .40 was much easier to find by me.

I did have one in 40. Very nice gun. Never had a problem as long as ammo was within spec. Very fast on target and quite accurate. Often shot reloaded ammo with 180 gr. Rainier plated flat point over heavy load of Longshot. This was a real performer, about 1350 FPS out of the carbine barrel. Mounted a Simmons Red Dot, 40 mm if I remember< so you could co-witness the factory sights through the glass. A supurb set-up.
Only sold it to buy a S&W 610 I had been wanting for years. Wish I could have kept it. They are fine pieces.
