.357 magnum 180grn factory loads

Howdy,

I was wondering if anyone has used the factory 180grn .357 magnum 'Hunting' loads put out by Winchester and Federal. Are they any good (on game) out of wheel guns 4' or 6' and/or lever actions. What sort of velosities are people getting.

thanks

Rastus...I can't speak from experience from using that gun...but hope to find out soon. I just bought a .357 Magnum 4' Ruger Security Six stainless and am interested in any recommended grain loads for deer hunting and/or home defense uses.

Iv'e only shot a coyote with remington's 180 grain load at 15 yards. Took 3 shots before it stopped moving. The first shot put it down, 2 to finish.
