Do a google search for a game warden named Rodney Bimber. He is the biggest detriment to hunting in the entire state. Not that the rest of them are sweethearts but htis guy is a nutjob. He also stopped a garbage truck and accused the guy of poaching. in broad daylight along a main highway. The guy had no weapons.

here is another of the game wardens many exploits.

Yeah there is CCL in Colorado. Just your rifle can't be loaded in a vehicle when your hunting, lets say elk.

Wink

I suppose in Canada and elsewhere Sunday's the day when game pray for protection from hunters. Gotta leave them alone for a little peace that day.

Gall Bladder

Actually the american indians (specifically eskimos) use the black bears gall bladder as an aphrodigiac (spelling).
And yes it is a big problem (black market stuff) as far as poaching black bears for this reason.

If that would help I will recommend a bear gall bladder meal to Appolyan67. Then Shebear might have to take vacation from him occasionally.

In Chicago it is illegal to hunt alligators in the city limits.
Here in Kentucky it is illegal to use a rimfire for deer hunting but the puny .25 ACP is legal. ( The .22 Mag. has several times the power of the 25 ACP.)
In Maine it is illegal to hunt on Sunday. ( Guess the animals have the day off for church services.)
In Ky. it is illegal for a woman to walk along a road in a bathing suit unless she is accompanied by two police officers or carrying a club. duh.....(I would take my chances with the club.)
In Atlanta, Ga. it is illegal to tie a giraffe to a light post....duh again
I have lots more stupid laws but I'll quit here for now.

Lightbulb Hunting on Sunday

From the Ontario Hunting Regulations Summary.
You may not carry or discharge a firearm, except bows or crossbows, on Sunday for the purpose of hunting inthe reggs state the diffrent places including the city of Toronto) The above does not apply to hunting on a licensed game bird hunting preserve.
Beleve it or not it is leagal to hunt in the city of Toronto.
That would be like hunting in down town NewYork, NewYork, or Manhattan.

I have one for you: under Maryland law is a copy of a Colt AR-15 H-Bar an "assault weapon" or not. I'll give you a clue: I am a member of the Maryland bar, and I couldn't figure it out, so I called the Maryland State Police sergeant who is responsible for enforcing the law and he couldn't figure it out either. The problem is the law says all of the following, and copies or derivatives are assault weapons, and lists Colt AR-15, except H-Bar. So is a heavy barreled AR-15 derivative a derivative of the AR-15 or the H-Bar? I love it when non-shooters make the rules. Oh, and by the way, one can take an H-Bar receiver and build any upper off it and it still won't be an assault weapon under Maryland law. Those "assault weapons" aren't banned, but you have to undergo a waiting and approval period, just as for purchasing handguns.

You cannot use a rifle to hunt deer in most of Maryland. I think this originally started near the water, where there was a perceived danger of bullets skipping across the surface for great distances, but it now applies to the suburban counties, inluding the southern half of Frederick county and all the counties east except a couple of sparsely populated counties on the Eastern shore. This is not as unreasonable as it might sound, as there are many hunters who seem not to take into account their backstops. I would rather have a shotgun season than a vendetta against all hunters and gun owners because some tyro decided to use a .338 lapua and shoot at a deer on top of a hill.

I will issue a caveat that I am an experienced shooter but not an experienced hunter. I have never hunted, although I have gotten a few licenses, because I would only hunt when and where I knew what I was doing, and also I always seem to have a lot of other things to do. Somehow I never quite got it all together to have a hunting trip. Skiing also has alot to do with it. I ski 40-60 days a year, and most of the good hunting is on the days I head for the slopes. Before I was an avid skier I spent a lot of my weekends in the Naval Air Reserve and Army Guard. I might get the time to hunt if and when I retire. If I do retire, I'd like a place with good skiing, good flying, and good hunting, along with low prices and taxes. TAxes and prices make Colorado and Utah not so good. That leaves places like NM, WY, and NH. We'll have to see.

I know it doesn't make sense in today's society, that was originally because of religion I believe.
