| Rained alot last night
I went to the woods everyday this week for hogs and never even saw one. It rained a ton last night and my yard is flooded, and its cooled off alot out there. Would i have a better or worse chance of seeings hogs out there there? Do they like flooded areas and cooler weather? Or will i be wasting my time? |

They roam a lot, so you may not see them for a while. Around here, rain tends to keep them in heavy cover, but they they always start moving afterwards.

Like all wild critters, they'll hunker down when they smell bad weather coming! Rained real good here too. We needed it, as it'll settle and pack the sand on the forest roads. Been getting pretty dusty lately. Today, first time in awhile I've had feral cats in the yard - time to go 'big game hunting' . . .

After rain, they dont need to go to water so they are free to travel anywhere, but if they wernt where you went before, they could be there now. Even if cold they still need to traveel and eat
