Dont worry about its hands billy, they are only used to grab you.If he grabs you he will get your guts kicked out with his big toes.Youy have to get around behind and grab him by the tail and then he is buggered.

Also, the picture of the jumping ant is something to remember.People have died gone into shock from its bite.

Nah the rosellas arent man eaters, but if you offer a finger or a bit of skin they will take to it and their beaks are very handy at drawing clarret. My cousin caught one years ago in a bird trap he made. When he went to get it out he put on some motorbike gloves. The rosella bit straight through the gloves and he let it go.All i could do was cover myself up as i lay on the ground laughing with my cousin kicking me ahahahhahahahahahah.

Hey billy, ive got a nest of those ants in my front yard.Ill try get some video of them. They are very aggressive. You have to be careful. If you stand still too long they get you. They also have awesome eye sights and will follow your movements. The massive bulldog ants or inchmen are a bigger version of the jumping ant. They really do hurt when they get you.

How tough are Buffalo ?

The first Buffalo of the 2006 season (July) -
Kent's a bit over 40" Bull -

The first shot was on the Bulls left side with a 458 Win. Mag, a good shoulder shot. As the Buff ran, Kent pumped in 3 solids in about 15 to 20 seconds. Shouted, "I'm empty, reloading ! ".

Well, the Bull was headed towards the thick stuff, so I gave him some extra baggage to haul, but it just slowed him down enough to where he stopped and laid down.

The one at the base of the neck was by Kent when the Buff was down (tried to finish the bull but missed the spine a bit).

The other 4 were from about 60 yards at the running Bull. 3 by Kent and 1 from me.

Not a bad group at a moving target !

How tough are Buffalo ? ?

You are looking at a critters front shoulder that took 20,000 ft. lbs. of energy, and was still going, until 5,000 additional ft. lbs. were applied. Then it just laid down !

There were 3 exits . . . . and honest to heaven, we found 2 - 458 solids laying on top of the sand 10 feet from where the Bull went down.

By the way, that is a 458 Winnie for size reference.

Yeah, . . . . . they're tough !

Best,
Phil
