NZ Fallow Hunt 08

well i went hunting 19th-20th with my Dad and Madness
Had 2 days great weather We saw 51 deer and 2 pigs with 5 deer being shot
Dad got his second ever deer , Madness(a friend of mine) found a secret sweet spot and scored 4 I got the big fat 0 well at least none were misses cause i didn't see a deer plus I passed up a shot at a 20lb pig.

Most were does only 1 spiker with small spikes
No seasons here
I have a browning a-bolt micro hunter in 308 with hornady 110gr handloads
Don't know how 110's preform on deer yet cause i didn't get a shot off.
Madness had a sako in 6.5x55 with remington 140gr corelokt handloads
Dad had a Brno in 243 with remington 100gr corelokt handloads

You know what, for all the loose gun laws they have on the other side of the world, i would not swap what we have over this side of the world. We are truely lucky. If they said we will give you the same gun laws as the US but you have to have the same rules they have for hunting, there is no way known to man i would even consider it.

Ive said it before and ill say it again.We dont have as many rules because nearly all of what we hunt is FERAL.I would put 95% of what you guys hunt as native.You have a few like pigs and what else?How much of what you hunt in the US is feral?
