My favorite depends on what the intended use is is. If I had to pick one, the .30 caliber would be at the top of the list. In that it would be the trusted old .30-06. But I use several calibers, ranging .22 to .45. They all have favorite uses depending situation at hand. Dave |

What are your two guns and scopes? I often think that perhaps the best caliber up through deer may be the 7 08. Tom | |

honestly.... .44 from a cap and ball.... seriously. only reason i don't carry it (regularly) is...well like the ol boys said. it can get you into trouble but it can't get you out. thats when i turn to the 7.62 in mass amounts

Have to agree that I still love my .22's and next to that I have to say .243 of course I do think that if I lived in a different area where normal shooting ranges were a bit longer I would probably go with a 30-06.

All of my guns are my favorites! But if I had to choose one it would be my Stevens Model 34 22rimfire given to me 35 years ago by my parents at Christmas!

My .308 and .45-70 are the two most accurate rifles I own. One or the other is good for anything in North America. Pete |

Well I have a .223 that I like because it is very accurate and consistent. But I just bought a Tikka .270 WSM that I haven't shot yet as I am waiting for the dies I ordered and for the weather here in Manitoba to warm up a bit. (don't mind the cold but testing a new rifle is a much more enjoyable experience and easier when it is above freezing) So guess I'll have to get back to you on that one.
