| Rifles you wish you had back
The rifle you sold or traded and wish you had back? Mine's a Remington 600 .308 that had a Weaver K4 scope on it, back when Weavers were American made. |

I had a Ruger 9mm carbine back when they first came out. I loved it!! For some reason traded it for a pistol and I've regretted it ever since.

I had a Remington single shot .22 nylon bolt Model 10 I think, as my 1st real gun. My 2nd gun a Winchester single shot .22 Model 67A, I think and my 3rd gun a Mossberg repeating .22 [it had J F initals that were drilled holes filled with light color wood glue in the monte carlo stock] all three I wish I had back.

Also had a Ruger PC9 carbine, as well as some 32 rd magazines! Oh hindsight you are a cruel mistress... I'll add to that, a Winchester Trapper .44 Mag, a Remington model 8 in .35 Remington and a Springfield M-6 scout in .22 Hornet and .410 - my eyes are tearing up!

I regret every one I've ever traded to some extent, even the bulged-barrel single-action .22 revolver that I traded for in high school. The one(s) I miss the most are the sporterised #1 MK III Lee-Enfield that I traded for a dirt bike and the factory 26 SKS that I traded for a Star Super Modelo. I also regret getting rid of the Star for my PA-63. And then there was the single-shot 12 ga. that I cut down.....

Remington 788 in .308 with an early Weaver variable scope I babysat for several years for a guy. Was just a great lil rifle that killed pigs and pretty much every thing else I pointed at ( most of t he time ) He sold it on, I wasn`t to worried at the time, but yeah.. I miss it a bit.

I bought a Sako Finbear, in 30-06 while stationed in Europe and hunted once with it, then sold it before coming home. It was a beautiful rifle.

Mine was a Remington 03A3 that i bought from the old Klein's Sporting Goods that I believe was in Chicago for $49.95 in 1963. The rifle would have been considered NRA excellent at that time. I sold it to help me pay the down payment on an engagement ring for my lovely wife to be. |

I had a beautiful Remington 700 ADL .270 with a Nikon scope I sold for 400 bucks a few years ago. Traded off a Marlin 39A and wish I still had it too.

I can think of a few, but not model #'s, and nothing special. I just grieve for ALL the firearms I no longer have. All my former Harley's too, and my Chevelle, while we're at it.

My first, a 6.5X55 ex mil rifle. It was butt ugly but man could that thing shoot. Traded for a 308 Ruger s/s synthetic stock, my first new rifle, BAD MOVE. I hated that Ruger and it didn't hang around long.....

There are several that would fit here but the main one would be an old Remington 22, bolt action, w/clip and a peep sight. I believe it was a model-511 (?) If i knew then what I know now ........I`d still have it. |

Interarms mark X Mauser in 7x57mm. It had a very bad flashy 70's style stock that I replaced. Also installed was a Winchester 70 style safety. It had an older Weaver 4x scope as well. Traded it before even though I knew it was a bad idea... Taught me a good lesson on impuse trading. Andy
