Reminders of how great this site is

Some times, I wonder if this site really makes a difference. I wonder if the work I put into, and the large financial burden it is (Many thanks for Contributing Members!), accomplishes what I seek out to do.
My goal is to expand the knowledge, passion and understanding of proper firearm use.
So, I took a step outside of the Powder Keg, and went strolling through the Forum. Here are some great threads that I think are awesome:
Conceal Carry in a Church
I like this thread because the user wants to obey the law, and the wishes of a pastor of the church. No one offered the "I'll carry anyways" mentality, and made some great suggestions for him.
What Powder Does Winchester use in SuperX?
Now, I will be the first to tell I have no idea on reloading. Users are offering solutions and legitimate links to information to backup what they are suggesting.
Friend left his Garand uncleaned for months
This thread is something that I hope no one can relate to! The user lends his garand to his friend and his friend just didn't clean it after firing the firearm! The members of the site offer great tips on how to try and clean the firearm. Moral of the story- don't lend your firearms.
These are just three of the 50,000+ threads we have here on Gun and Game. I just randomly picked these...and was amazed.
It's easy to see why so many love this site. I hope this continues. I suggest to those that aren't "feeling" the site anymore to take a step back from the most popular forum (Powder Keg), and take a look at what this site is really about. We have over 150 forums on this site, and there is no way one person can read all the information on here.

I'll admit, I lurk a bit on the other forums, but that's mostly because I'm reading and learning.
I contribute when something I know about comes up, though, like shotguns, general handgun stuff, some of the hunting, gardening, and cooking and a little of the survival stuff.
But yes, this is about my most common 'net hangout.

Pick any five threads in the firearms forums at random and read them. You will both find people giving good advice and people ribbing each other. That's why this is my No. 1 pick on my Favorites menu. I learn things, and I laugh my ass off! Never found this kind of mix on the many other forums I'm a member of. This site has gotten me fired up on what I thought was a long lost passion. I've since re-joined the NRA and plan to join the local gun club and dust off the old gun cabinet.
