Why I Love Gun and Game
G&G Forums is great...
...not only because of the interesting and informative gun and game info sharing, and the comradely we share together, but also and more importantly because members at large recognize and appreciate the direct connection there is between our 2nd Amendment rights and all our other rights, liberties and freedoms.
One right taken away takes away from the others...
...until we're left empty-handed and in serious trouble.
Thanks to those who have the courage and commitment to stand up and speak out for freedom...
...and for our rights and liberties.Posted 11-02-2009 at 11:06 PM by LiveToShoot

Civil Disobedience
I think about this quite a lot. (yes, i'm a fairly dull person).
Part of me resents being told I have to wear a seat belt (or crash helmet, etc). Part of me thinks, if some idiot sideswipes me, I don't want their head landing in my passenger seat. It's my responsibility to make myself as safe as possible, I will usually meet that responsibility. It is others responsibility to do the same. unfortunately, not everyone is responsible.Posted 10-26-2009 at 02:43 AM by petrol

Are you a young member?
caopai, my kids adhered to the law,and only went shooting with me. Both sons enlisted in the USMC, and one is still in, after 12 years. They are now legal gun owners, and have never had a problem. What everyone is saying is, obey the law, and protectyour future rightto own firearms. If you get caught doing something illegal now, it may cost you the right to own fireamrs when you come of age. Thatis it in a nutshell, along with the fact that the membership does not condone anything done illegally, by minors. Read up on the laws, and follow them. When you reach the legal age, to own firearms, by all means exercise your right. We are simply trying tokeep you,and ourselves out of any possible jam!
Scotty
PS. When you turn 21, come and see me, and I'll help you with your first purchase! You can get me online!Posted 10-21-2009 at 10:49 AM by Seabeescotty

caopai, that isn't what Chris is saying.Reread his blog. He's not saying all teenagers are irresponsible. What you type on here could get him and this site in big trouble.Think about it........Posted 10-21-2009 at 08:57 AM by CalifgirlinOk

I honestly don't see what the big deal is. I've learned enough in my ~8 years of shooting to know more than *SOME* adults. Whenever I'm at the range I'm one of the people who points out a saftey issue to the lesser experienced shooters, of if they just made a mistake (I know mistakes can be deadly). Half the time I am more mature and detail oriented than the shooters I correct. I know that it is illegal to purchase firearms and ammunition, but it is not illegal to use them. I guess some of the comments here are based on the assumption that "teenagers" are not able to assume the responsibility of using a firearm? I'm not quite sure, but thats what it sounds like to me.Posted 10-20-2009 at 09:29 PM by caopai
