Wall Street Bailout

I'm not a financial guru of any sort so I can't say that this bailout is necessary or not. But a few things puzzle me:
1. If this is such a dire need, that we have to have this or else, why take a holiday?
2. If this was such a dire need, why add pork that included tax breaks and other non essential junk in it?
I seriously have to question anything these jackholes do.
Now the Blame.
Ultimately we are all to blame. Our economy runs off fast money. "no money down" "drive home today" "buy now pay later" "no interest for 6 months" "get a loan for 110% to pay off your credit cards and buy a house" Seriously we asked for this. Credit isn't bad, credit is good. It helps stimulate the economy. We just became greedy whores with no accountability.
The banks that were doing this should be left to rot in their own demise. The companies who cooked the mortgage loans so they would be approvedshould go to jail. The politicians that recieved hush money should be fired.
One other point; does anyone think that the high cost of fuel played any part in this? People have to go to work and they have to eat.

Because, as things have shown, the bailout isn't the answer and until housing values stabilize and the credit flow thaws out, the "crisis" will continue. Throwing money at it doesn't solve anything.

Even the Senators that added the pork admitted they did so to change the votes of 12 Congressmen they needed to get the legislation passed. In short, the "pork" was a bribe...or reward for betraying their constituents.
As far as the high fuel costs, it's just one more thing that is going to divide the country into two classes...the haves and the have nots.....with the haves making the rules (or determining what rights remain, if you will).Posted 10-08-2008 at 10:22 PM by DWFan
